About Clinical Case Management

Clinical Case Management is a service of Counseling and Wellness intended to help students overcome obstacles while empowering them to embrace their growing autonomy.  Clinical Case Management provides supportive and referral-based services to help students meet their needs and create opportunities for success. Information shared during a Clinical Case Management appointment is confidential. With a student’s permission, the Clinical Case Manager can work closely with other departments on campus to ensure that students have the tools they need to succeed.  

The Clinical Case Manager can help connect students to resources on or off campus. On-campus, school-based resources and services that are recommended will help support students mentally, emotionally, and academically. Off-campus resources may include, but are not limited to: health care, psychiatry, individual or group therapy, substance abuse treatment, housing, legal assistance, or resources for food assistance. 

Clinical Case Management services are provided both in-person and via telehealth. Be sure to bring your insurance card to your appointment so the Case Manager can try to locate resources and options that will work for you!

Tips for Navigating Insurance (Insurance Checkpoints)

  • If you would like to find your own provider using your insurance, call the number on the back of the card or go to the website to log into your member directory in order to search for providers.
  • Verify the number of counseling sessions available to you so that you and your provider can work towards a plan that aligns with your needs and your insurance.
  • When calling a provider, confirm that they take your insurance and verify your co-pay amount.
